Mannington Floors “Before And After” Reveal And Flooring Update

Filed Under: DIY, Home Tour Tagged With: antique, antrhopologie, better homes and gardens, cottage style, country living, diy, diy home, eclectic style, farmhouse, farmhouse kitchen, farmhouse style, flooring, floors, hardwood, home decor, home renovation, home tour, interior, interior design, kitchen, mannington floors, pottery barn, rustic style, vintage, wall art, wood floors, wood laminate, woods and whites

As I’ve been having a lot of questions about our floors and how we like them, I thought I would take a moment to chat a little about our experience with our Mannington Floors and how they are holding up. I feel so blessed and am very thankful to have had the opportunity to partner with Mannington Floors on this project!

We have been enjoying our flooring now for about 3 months and I have to say that this is one of the best design decisions that I have ever made. We are in love with the look AND the durability. Let me tell you about a couple of the things that have happened that you would think would damage our floors, yet they are left without a scratch. My son dropped a heavy chair directly onto the flooring….and….no damage. My son and husband were doing a project one day and my son accidentally shot a nail from our air nailer toward the floor. To our surprise, the nail bounced off of the flooring and thank goodness everyone was ok. I couldn’t believe that the nail didn’t penetrate right into the floor! My kids, as well as myself, have slid things across the floors that should have scratched them, and they come out unharmed. I think they must be filled with a little bit of magic. We chose these floors over “hardwood” for the durability. Hardwood seems to scratch so easily, and having kids and a dog, we knew that we needed an alternative to hardwood. These wood laminate floors look so much like real wood, you would never know the difference! I love the character in each and every board!

The quality seriously cannot be beat! This flooring is spill shield protected which means it will not be damaged by ordinary spills and pet messes that are removed within 72 hours. This is why we chose to carry this flooring into our bathroom. The drips from the shower and such are no harm to the flooring. We just wipe it up and it dries like a dream.  Restoration Collection® is FloorScore® certified and meets stringent indoor air quality standards. The 25 year warranty proves that this flooring can stand the test of time. The color of my flooring is Fairhaven Brushed Natural and it is the Restoration Wide Plank Collection. I’m in love with the wide plank and light, yet rich, color! You can find many of the color options that they offer in this post, here.

I’m going to take you on a little photo tour of our home with some before and after shots. Some of the areas look like an entirely different home to me! I’m so pleased with the way every space turned out! This area is my kids living space in our upstairs.

The master bathroom and bedroom were by far the rooms that changed the most, in my opinion. I think it had something to do with the “refresh” of these spaces along with the flooring. And, just a side note… when you are trying to get something accomplished and you want to try to talk your roomie/spouse into it, use the word “refresh” over “renovate”. It works.

I had Mannington Floors installed in my kitchen and foyer in 1980. We lived there 23 years and they proved to be the best thing we did to that home. They were still looking good when we sold this home. I like the color you chose and your rooms look great. My DH and I are in love with Chester. He compliments every room he is photographed. Just wondering how old he is. Your deconstruction of your settee is awesome.

I think Chester must be the most photographed doggie model ever. Love it sooo much. Wish my Jack Russell could sit still for 5 mins so I can do it too! Love the new floors. We have recently done the same. Although it’s a new built and we haven’t actually moved in yet to enjoy the floors!

Did you have a fave hutch in stories? (Swipe over) Did you have a fave hutch in stories? (Swipe over) We couldn’t decide either so we just got both...said the wish monster. 🤪We don’t have room yet but I’m hoping for a nice big hutch like one of these to be part of our kitchen in our build. @antiquitieswarehouse has the best stuff!! Our kitchen to come may be a little outside the norm and I’m super pumped about it! Oh, and lots of you wondering the cost of this hutch...let’s just say if you could have a new car or a new hutch, which would you choose? I’ll take the hutch! 😃25K for this puppy #antiquehutch #antiquefurniture
Ahhhh! Can you believe that I got it all straight? Ahhhh! Can you believe that I got it all straight? #sponsor I love love my new gallery wall!! I found so many fun things @samsclub today (see stories) along with all of the printer ink and supplies that helped me finish off my gallery wall! You can still do great things in a rental my friends, you can!🙌🏼 Sam’s Club sure has amazing deals! And, I can’t wait to try out that carpet cleaner...and blow up that pool for Chester, of course! Yay for fun projects and for just plain fun! 😁🐶 #samspartner #gallerywall #photowall
Mirror, done! What color was your guess? Were you Mirror, done! What color was your guess? Were you scared watching stories? No hot pink or turquoise ...I just wanted it warmer with more gold tones and I love it! It looks older and more realistic now...not so plasticity like before. I’ll show you some close ups in stories soon and will show how I got the old layered look...it’s even better in real life person! #standingmirror #rusticdecor
Do you think I bent the jigsaw blade? 😬 (swipe Do you think I bent the jigsaw blade? 😬 (swipe over) It was worth it all none the less. This was a “bench in a day” project. The thing that took the longest was refinishing it, the rest was cake...after we fixed the boards that Bob the Builder messed up. It will eventually go in the hallway. I hadn’t added the screws here yet bc I was running out of daylight to get a photo but check stories and I’ll show you how I’m (I mean Trav) is putting it together. He insisted on helping me when my arm fell off from all of the refinishing. What a sweet guy! ♥️ #rusticbench #diybench
Did you see this huge undertaking in stories and t Did you see this huge undertaking in stories and the plucking of the eyebrows with a needle nose plyers? Talent🙋🏼‍♀️ Stupidity 🙋🏼‍♀️I may not have any fingerprints left but the hutch is done and I’m in love!!! (Swipe over) 45,872 hours later and I have a hutch like no other. Can you believe I added layers of texture to this thing, painted it, didn’t like it, decided to sand it to the nubbins, white washed it, and then glazed it?!?! 🤩 Yeah, most of you probably know me too well by now...I’m nutso and I know it. Now to decide if I should put the original hardware back on or change it up. I’m thinking I’m loving the look of the old hardware on it. What do you think? And, this slingin it in this new craft space of mine is even more fun! I just finished this pot and I love it!! Just call me high on pot life...I’ve taken my old POTS health and changed it out for a new pots way! 🙌🏼 If you can’t find me, I’ll be over here just working with my pot! And, I’ll let you in, if you bring grain free brownies...or cupcakes...but I prefer the brownies🤔. And, I would share my grain free pretzels with you...After crying about Hallie forgetting my pretzels that one time, I now have about 10 bags fully stocked at all times. 😂 #morepots #thegoodkind #antiquepots
