The 12 Bloggers of Christmas

Christmas is absolutely my favorite time of the year! I couldn’t be more excited to share that I have teamed up with an amazing group of bloggers to present you with “The 12 Bloggers of Christmas!” Maybe this is your first stop or maybe your last, but this amazing blog hop festival of trees, sponsored by Balsam Hill, is an incredible journey through the homes and holiday Christmas tree decor in 12 incredible spaces! I’m also so excited to share with all of you the code: MVP10OFF for an additional 10% off of anything on Balsam Hill’s site, on top of ongoing sale items too, through December 15!

Welcome to My Vintage Porch and this peak inside my living room, which I recently transformed into a winter wonderland here in the Sonoran desert in Arizona, with the decorating of our tree! Let’s get right to it!

If you have been around my feed long, you know I love my trees flocked and naked! And while other areas of my home will still be full of naked, flocked trees, I wanted to try something different this year that would be a true centerpiece in the room. I started with this amazing 9′ Nicole Miller, Champaign pre-lit tree! When I opened the box….oh my goodness! This spruce beauty was absolutely stunning in its natural state, just laying there in the box! After my hubs literally assembled it in 7 minutes, my breath was taken away! The sparkling gold branches literally glistened against the clear LED lights. It was like the tree came to life! I was so tempted to just leave it plugged in, throw on a tree skirt and announce “DONE!” And, believe me I could have! But then…I opened the rest of the Balsam Hill boxes!!!!

It’s been a couple years since I put ornaments and decorations on a tree, so I was so excited for this process!

When I saw it, I fell in love with the Juliette Fringed Tree Skirt. According to Balsam Hill it is “inspired by Moroccan wedding blankets”, and has “beaded fringe bands embellished with metal sequins in a champagne gold hue.” It has that cozy, elegant/antiquey vibe that I love so much, and created the perfect neutral blend with my decor. It’s absolutely stunning!

Balsam Hill’s Gold and Champaign Christmas Tree Ribbon has 8 different styles to choose from! I opted for the Beaded Metallic ribbon, which is a Dupioni Ribbon featuring gold and silver edge beading. The beads on this amazing ribbon create even more shimmer in the tree!

Picking out ornaments was so fun, as Balsam Hill has so many incredible ones to choose from, and so many that fit the look and feel that I love! I opted for three kinds of ornaments. First, I love the feel of nature and bringing the outside into my home decor. The Jute Pinecone Picks were the perfect choice! Next, the Antiqued Snowflake Ornament Set brought that wintery, antiquey feel to my tree! These metallic ornaments adorned with crystal-like beads, vary in size and shape and add a ton of extra sparkle to the tree! Finally, this French Country Ornament Set brought a simple elegance to the tree, as the ornaments are reminiscent of antique French baubles.

And to finish off this masterpiece…a giant snowflake here in the desert! I opted for Balsam Hill’s Antiqued Snowflake Tree Topper. This crowning jewel has such an amazing rustic, vintage vibe, that I couldn’t pass it up…and it pairs perfectly with the antique snowflake ornaments!

I hope you enjoyed visiting my space and the process of decorating my amazing Balsam Hill tree this year! And, I hope you enjoy your Christmas morning as much as I know we will, as we come together on Christmas morning to celebrate the birth of Christ!

I prefer the flocked, naked look. Maybe your inner style is changing a bit, I noticed it the past year. But, it’s all about what makes you happy.

It looks awesome!!! Love that the artificial trees are looking more real! Also love the giant bells – every year when I get a real tree or pull out the flocked and get to the just lights stage I think it looks so stunning just simple but I also love adding the ornaments and find there is so much beauty in all the looks!!! Great job!!

I would like to know where the large white jingle bells came from as well! And I’m going on Balsam Hill’s website and ordering some of that ribbon and pinecone picks. So cute!

I dream up plans and Trav helps me make them come true! We thought it would be fun to make a huge budget friendly mirror that is even better than a $3000 mirror and this one definitely fits the bill! We drew up our own plan, built it, added some trim, and voila! I’m so in love and I just can’t stop staring at it!! Trav’s fingers might be a little sore from attaching all of that trim, but he says it was worth it! DIY tutorial coming soon, on the blog. #standingmirror #diymirror
See what I did with the chairs? I left them outsid See what I did with the chairs? I left them outside. 😁 I was getting ready to sand one of these other chairs down today and I thought, “I’m going to take them in and sit them by the table and see what I think”, because I love the old, battered, beat up look of them! What do you know?… they work perfectly in here...much better than the bleached chairs were looking in this space! And, there was no sanding, staining, or painting involved! Are you surprised?...probably not, if you know me. 🤪(There were also no bonfires behind the scenes of this post) #theyreakeeper #andChestertoo
