You know I love a spur of the moment project. I can’t wait to tell you how easy this one was. It took me about 30 minutes and was so fun too! I’ve been wanting something that would dress up this blan, bare wall behind my swings. I searched my home and did this whole project with no out of pocket cost.
We had some old pallets sitting in our side yard, waiting for me to use them for projects. This old dilapidated pallet was just what I wanted for this project.
Ok, so are you ready? You will need about 5 things for this project…
1. A pallet of choice
2. Jute twine (or something you can use to tie)
3. Potting soil
4. Faux or real plants (I used these faux sprigs that I had pulled off of faux plants that I had from Ikea)
5. Glass jars or various jars of your choice
I tied the twine around the top of the jar, knotted it, and then tied it to the wood pallet…added some dirt to each jar and added some faux greenery. And that’s it! ???????? So easy peasy! I did use some hooks on a few of them but I feel that they are more stable when they are tied to the actual pallet. I did not tie my pallet to the wall because it is pretty heavy and stays pretty stable. If I had a lighter weight pallet, I would have tied it down. I love the way it turned out! It adds just the right amount of appeal that I was looking for. I may add some more jars later on but this is a good start. It would also look so cute with herbs or a variety of faux or real plants. So many possibilities. I would love to hear what you think!
You can find these swings, here. I get a lot of questions of how we hung them. Ours are hung into the studs in the ceiling of our patio and they are the hit of the family! We love them so much!
Thanks for stopping by my friends! I would love to see all of your beautiful pallet projects.
