Is This Rug A Keeper?

This rug looks a lot like the one that I ran into today in my Instagram stories. Hmmmm, you know that one that I wasn’t going to buy? Yep, problems…I’ve got them, in more ways that just buying rugs. Well, I’m not sure if I’m keeping it. I’m in love with the rug but I’m trying to decide if I’m in love with it more that the other one that I had in this room. Hmmmm, hmmmm, hmmmm…that’s where you come in. What do you think? Do you like the other one I had in here, better? You can see that one at the end of this post. I think I’m leaning more toward my “old” rug, the one in the last photo, for this space.

This new rug sure is a beauty though. I will have to think about it overnight as to if I have ANYWHERE else that I could possibly put it. Well, I guess it’s time to buy a new house…or another rug.

You can find this rug HERE

And I think I might be even MORE fond of this rug’s brother, HERE, but I don’t see a larger size in that one.

And this amazing book page art from my friend, Cassandra…HERE

THIS RUG is the previous rug that I had in this space. Well, it’s really still in here, just rolled up behind me waiting for me to trip on it. I love it so much that I don’t think that I can part with it but I would love to hear your thoughts, in the comments below.

One thing that I don’t love as much about this rug is that it is not as bold as the other one. The boldness has it’s perks but I also love a great muted rug like this one too. You can see HERE that this one does look darker online and it actually has  a little sheen in real life, which I don’t mind,  that causes it to look way lighter than it really is  depending on where one is standing in the room. AND, this one fits way better in size on top of that jute rug that I have right there. Did I mention that I love rugs?

Well, off to ponder. I ALWAYS love to hear your thoughts! Thank you friends!

oooo this is a tough one!! I really like both for different reasons. The old one is really pretty and neutral, might be easier to have all year round and mix up accents. The new one is really nice for bringing out the warm wood tones and is a more colorful choice. If only you could have both, haha! It really depends on what you would like to look at more, whatever you choose, either one is VERY beautiful!

They both are great rugs, but with your room and decor I like the original one more. I notice the other lovely items in your room more with the muted rug, the newer rug seems to jump out at me and draws all the attention! If you feel the need for more color, I’d just find some smaller accents pieces in colors from the rug. I love this room, it’s a great mix of items and texture and suggests CALM!

This is my first time to comment and I think I was a little eager and commented on someone else’s rug comment before I saw this box. So just in case, I will repeat and then go away ????.

Target will price match their own online prices when you check out in the store. Just show them the on line price!

    Hello from Canada

    I love both rugs.

But I truly gasped when I saw your new rug. It took my breath away. It’s a triple WOW. Which in the best rating I give. Highest.

Here is my thought. If you can afford it. (I’m very sick so I understand expensive medical expenses.)

You should keep it. Because if you don’t you might always be wondering about that beautiful rug that GOT AWAY.

    Love your style, girl!

Ahhh, Natalie, I would keep the reddish one for Vakentine’s Day and change over to a more springlike rug (da’bluish one) a little later. You are blessed to have choices.

I think I saw that you are a bit Irish? So where in Heaven is the greenish rug for the St.Patrick’s Day? My Grandpa Leprachan aka Frank (Francis) Charles O’Connor would be giving me the “Say so?” If there wasn’t a spot of green in my house besides plants. Hugs! They’re both lovely and adore the touches of color.

(Swipe over) We couldn’t decide either so we just got both...said the wish monster. 🤪We don’t have room yet but I’m hoping for a nice big hutch like one of these to be part of our kitchen in our build. @antiquitieswarehouse has the best stuff!! Our kitchen to come may be a little outside the norm and I’m super pumped about it! Oh, and lots of you wondering the cost of this hutch...let’s just say if you could have a new car or a new hutch, which would you choose? I’ll take the hutch! 😃25K for this puppy #antiquehutch #antiquefurniture

Do you think I bent the jigsaw blade? 😬 (swipe Do you think I bent the jigsaw blade? 😬 (swipe over) It was worth it all none the less. This was a “bench in a day” project. The thing that took the longest was refinishing it, the rest was cake...after we fixed the boards that Bob the Builder messed up. It will eventually go in the hallway. I hadn’t added the screws here yet bc I was running out of daylight to get a photo but check stories and I’ll show you how I’m (I mean Trav) is putting it together. He insisted on helping me when my arm fell off from all of the refinishing. What a sweet guy! ♥️ #rusticbench #diybench
