DIY Bath Salts and Sugar Scrubs

Do you ever feel like you are running out of ideas and money for Christmas gifts? ME TOO! I want to show you these amazing bath salts, and sugar scrubs that I made on a budget. The supply list is short and it only took me about 15 minutes to make all of these. Here are the supplies that you will need…I’m not endorsing these products in any manner, they are just the ones that I picked up at my local store. I did order these essential oils online but you can pick them up at your local store as well.

Supplies for Bath Salts:

2 cups of Epsom Salt

10-15 drops of essential oil ( I used peppermint in some and lavender in another)

Mix well and pour into jars or containers of choice

Supplies for Sugar Scrubs:

1 cup of sugar

1/2 or 3/4 cup of Coconut Oil

7-10 drops of essential oils if desired (I left the oils out of mine for unscented)

Mix well with spatula and scoop into jars or containers of choice

There are so many different oil scents, making this such a great gift! I had these oils on hand which made it even more budget friendly.

I absolutely loved this sugar scrub as do my kids! It leaves your hands feeling so soft and moisturized after washing it off. My daughter woke up this morning and said, “Mom, my hands are still soft from that sugar scrub last night!” ???

This is such a fun and easy project that kids could get involved in helping. Just be careful of some essential oils as they can burn eyes and irritate skin.

I love the way these turned out and I can’t wait to add some lids and cute bows!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! I hope that this budget friendly project can help you out this Christmas season!

I found this old painting for $2 at a rummage sale I found this old painting for $2 at a rummage sale last weekend…I didn’t love it “as is” but with it only being $2, I wasn’t as scared to try this technique on it. I darkened the gold on the frame with some rub n buff and added glaze to the painting to make it look antique. It turned out exactly how I desired…I love the the after so much! ♥️ (more details in stories) #library #books #bookstagram #book #painting #paintingart
I found this old coffee grinder in an online aucti I found this old coffee grinder in an online auction, and I didn’t pay only $2 for it. I’m pretty sure it was one of those things where I was like, “Trav, this is going to be my birthday present” …it was months before my birthday so he forgets and still gets me something…of course I didn’t do that on purpose. 😁 I don’t buy pricey things like this often but it was something that I had been wanting for a while and they can go for $400-$500 online 🤪Lots of you ask if we use it, the answer is, I want to, but I just keep forgetting bc Trav is the one that drinks coffee and I don’t want to remind him that we have it or I might not get a birthday present this year.🤔And, I honestly don’t remember how much I paid for it but it was in the $200s …but it seems I really got it for Trav bc I don’t drink coffee🤔, but don’t tell Trav. #antiquecoffeegrinder #coffeegrinder #kitchendecor #kitchenremodel

Trav made this mantle out of a bed side rail 🤩 Trav once said we have too much stuff in the garage…but I found our mantle in the stuff 🤔…if we didn’t have stuff, we wouldn’t have this mantle😁 #mantle #mantledecor #brickfireplace #woodceiling #antiquepainting

I thought I would paint the swan …but, nope, not I thought I would paint the swan …but, nope, not after seeing it in here 🤩Oh, and the lights are back in stock and listed in my profile. 🏃‍♀️ (they are pendants but we pulled the cord through to make them flush, I love them!!) #swan #laundry #laundryroom #vanity #farmhousesink
Thanks for reminding me that I have stuff in the g Thanks for reminding me that I have stuff in the garage 😁 We covered our TV with art stuff from the garage and metal pipes and, it worked 🙌🏼😁 (see stories) I can still see the tv from the side but when we get the new wall bracket for it, that should help bc we can push it back more. It’s a good temp fix to have some cool art instead of a black box! Oh, and who remembers when I stripped this dresser? #tvart #brickfloor #oldpainting
