Christmas Lights

Filed Under: Uncategorized Tagged With: antique, bookshelf, caseta by lutron, Christmas, Christmas tree, entryway, home decor, lighting, vintage

Anyone else love the twinkle of a Christmas tree so much that you would like to keep it up all year round? We never do, but the thought always crosses my mind.

I’m excited to be partnering with Caséta by Lutron for their Christmas lights campaign and thought it would be fun to explain a little more about our lighting controls and why we love them so much! It’s so nice to be in total control of our lighting through the app whether we are home or away.

We recently added some Caséta by Lutron plug in dimmers to some of our trees and it’s the best thing ever! No more reaching behind the tree to unplug it before we go to bed. We can control almost all of the lighting in our entire downstairs now through the Lutron app because of Caséta by Lutron. It’s amazing!

The Pico Smart Remote can control all of our plug in dimmers as well. Without the need of an app, password, or even Wi-Fi, the Pico remote gives us a super easy way, for even our guests, to control our lighting! We have ours hanging on our wall with command strips so we won’t loose them.

We just pair the Pico to whichever Caséta smart dimmers we want to control, and we can turn them all on, off, or dim them in tandem with each other. It’s so convenient and very nice to have on our Christmas lighting now.

Chester is so cute with his little antlers. He’s always ready to model.

We also have control of our lights without Wi-Fi! With Caséta, the brains are in the switch. Caséta doesn’t rely on your Wi-Fi. That means it always stays connected so we never lose smart control of the lights – even if the switch is off or the Wi-Fi goes down.

The Geofencing feature controls lights based on the geographical location of your smart phone. With Caséta and the Smart Bridge, you can use geofencing to automatically turn lights on as you arrive home and turn them off when you leave. If I have extra thrift store things that I don’t want Trav to know about, I can hide them before he comes in…the lights warn me, just kidding, kind of. But, it is nice to know when they pull in.

Caséta also integrates seamlessly with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit to give us hands-free control of our lighting, if we desire. There are so many great things about Caséta by Lutron but one of the best things is the peace of mind it gives us that no matter where we are, we are in control of our lights and we never have to come into a dark house again.

I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below and if you have Caséta by Lutron lighting controls too! I can’t wait to have them in our house when we build!

So, I just saw one of these beautiful white lacy looking trees in an antique store the other day, but it wasn’t for sale. They are so beautiful!!! Can you tell me anything more about them? I’ve been trying to nail down more info through a google image search and cannot find a thing about them!!! So beautiful!

Thanks for reminding me that I have stuff in the g Thanks for reminding me that I have stuff in the garage 😁 We covered our TV with art stuff from the garage and metal pipes and, it worked 🙌🏼😁 (see stories) I can still see the tv from the side but when we get the new wall bracket for it, that should help bc we can push it back more. It’s a good temp fix to have some cool art instead of a black box! Oh, and who remembers when I stripped this dresser? #tvart #brickfloor #oldpainting
