Another New (but) Old Cabinet

Filed Under: Home Decor Tagged With: antique, antique cabinet, decor, diy home, gathered style, home, home decor, home decorating, house and home, library cabinet, rustic, thrifted, vintage, vintage style

I moved this cabinet from the garage into the house this week. This was the last cabinet in the garage that I told Trav I was not willing to part with.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember when I shared in my stories that I found this cabinet at a thrift store.I went to the thrift store thinking it was going to be a thrift store price. Nope, it sure was not. But, I got it anyway, and here we are

I love how it evens out the room perfectly, with the secretary desk that I have on the other side.

I wish I knew more of it’s history and where it came from. I feel like cabinets always tell a story, even if I don’t know the story, I make one up in my head, ha!

I filled it up with thrift store finds that I love and love to stare at!

It does block the last door on the bottom of my larger cabinet, but I can get to the space through the door beside it, so it’s not a big deal. It’s worth it for me to have a spot for this cabinet! Now to find a cute curtain to add to this window.

I love it in this space and I’m so glad that I could fit it into our house!

It has a skeleton key and beautiful, antique, wavy glass! I wish you could see the wave of the glass more in the photos, it’s so beautiful!

I love the lighting in this space, even at night. It makes up for not having a Christmas tree all year round. The wood ceilings make it so cozy!

I Love this cabinet, actually, I Love the entire room. The shelves with crocks, the file cabinets, the radio and the lamp next to it, and the wonderful book shelves. It looks, to me anyway, like a piece of Heaven!!! Thank you for sharing. I must check out your instagram page, to see more.

I’ve always loved these metal coco liner baskets I’ve always loved these metal coco liner baskets, but they don’t hold water well for the desert and things dry out too fast here…so, I took the ones that have the water holder in the bottom and put them inside them. And, now they will be larger and cuter….I’m hoping for the best flowering outcome🙌
Fountains aren’t just for water 😁….not done Fountains aren’t just for water 😁….not done here yet but I thought this would be a good solution for our fountain since it was getting too much water on the adobe brick on our house (that can break down over time when getting wet) …if we ever want to use it as a fountain again we can, or it can just house some cool plants. I think a billion succulents would be cool in here too
