Those White Walls! - My Vintage Porch

I want to say thank you to all of you that voted for the sofa placement! I’m going to be really honest and tell you that my favorite was definitely all white…the white sofa and the 2 white chairs! Hey what can I say, I love this noncolor! After much contemplation and watching my dirty little grubsters come and go, and not always wanting to be on their backs about washing their feet or showering before they could sit on our sofas, I decided to keep one dark colored sofa in the room (although it will probably be changed out in the future). In the Arizona dirt, with 3 kids, the white doesn’t stay white for too long but being able to wash it makes it all worth it. Keeping one dark colored sofa in the room gives my kids more freedom to eat their popcorn while they watch their movies or to just be kids and when the funds can afford it the dark leather sofa will be replaced. I did switch out the white sofa in the before picture to my white pottery barn sofa. Most everything in the room was just brought in from other areas of my home. That’s the nice thing about decorating, you don’t have to break the bank to change things up, just borrow from other areas of your home.
