When we bought this house, we thought the bathroom renovation would not be happening for a year or so…and, here we are 5 months later. I’m so glad that we decided to do it earlier, even though there were so many headaches and circus contractors. From, before…
To, after…the door we found at Antiquities Warehouse makes this space so much more grand! It’s the best door ever!!!! It took a lot of supporting up top inside the wall there. This was quite the process, with some headaches and frustrations mixed in, but it turned out absolutely amazing!
For some reason I took before photos of every angle except the big angle of the outside facing into the bathroom. This photos (below) gives an idea of how much we reconfigured the bathroom. Have you ever seen a bathroom door this huge? I’m in loooooooove!!!!! I know there will be some that don’t like it, but to me, it’s one of the best decisions that we made in the process of our renovation! We made the track large enough that it could cover our closet (behind the door) or cover the bathroom.
We kept the fan. Poor Trav is happy about this decision. If it was up to me, I’d have a huge chandelier up there…maybe some day. I actually don’t mind the fan, today,…ask me again tomorrow though.
We love the brick floors that we added too! They are not soft on the feet like carpet but we don’t mind and I love the look!!

Yes, please on the gorgeous doors! I’ll take two! Is Antiquities Warehouse a local place where you live? If not, was the shipping outrageous? How was the delivery process? I see they don’t list prices, and imagine their doors run in the thousands? We may buy another home with a French style in the future and a feature door like this is what I would add into our remodel. Would love to hear more details about them. Thank you for the inspiration.
