Gluten Free Carne Asada

Filed Under: Recipes Tagged With: carne asada recipe, gluten free carne asada, gluten free marinade, grilled meat, grilling, marinade, recipe, southern cooking, spicy meat

I always loved carne asada when I wasn’t eating gluten free, which means I still love it, but I have found it difficult to find it made gluten free. All credit to my hubs… he finally found a super tasty gluten free care asada marinade! We found it at our local grocery store, but you can find it, here, as well. I thought I would just add it to the blog for all of those of you that were asking about it when I was chatting about it on my IG stories.

It actually just comes in the jar, but Travis added a few fresh ingredients to it that made it extra good! It’s so good without the extras, Trav just loves to go above and beyond.

He mixed in a little fresh lime juice (about 2 Tablespoons)…

Grated onion (about 1/4 of a medium sized onion)…

And, some chopped cilantro…

We added the steak tips and flank steak to a bowl and poured the marinade on top, letting it sit for about 4 hours. Any meat of choice would work. We would have marinaded it overnight if we had the time, but there was no need. It tasted so good and was so flavorful, even after marinading for only 4 hours.

It was amazing! I give it a 10/10! Needless to say, all of the meat is gone…in less than 24 hours. Delicious!

First, I’m so jealous that your husband cooks!! Second, my husband can’t have any gluten, so I’m always so happy to see a new GF recipe to try. Thanks for sharing!

P.S. How did you cook it? On the grill?
